About DWNit

The story behind dwnit and how it works

What is DWNit?

DWNit is a free website that helps you save public videos from social media platforms directly to your device: TikTok without watermark, Facebook videos, and Instagram videos, photos, and Reels. All you need is the video link.

How does the site work?

When you paste a public video link, DWNit extracts the original file address from the platform's servers, then hands it to you to download directly from the source to your device in the highest complete quality available. We don't host videos on our servers and we don't recompress files, so you get the original version exactly as it is.

What do we offer?

• Download TikTok videos without watermark in original HD quality (up to 1080p when available).
• Download Facebook videos and Reels as MP4 with audio in HD up to 720p.
• Download Instagram videos, photos, and Reels in their original quality up to 720p.

Why DWNit?

• 100% free with no fees or subscriptions - only a fair per-minute request limit that protects the service.
• No software or extensions: everything runs from your browser on any device.
• No registration or accounts: paste the link and download instantly.
• Privacy first: we don't store your links or files.
• Honest quality: we never recompress videos, so what you download is the true original file.

Our mission

Saving a public video for personal watching shouldn't require installing shady apps or creating accounts. We built DWNit to be the fastest, cleanest way to keep the clips you love - while respecting creators' rights and asking you to use downloads for legitimate personal purposes only, as our Terms of Use explain.
